This post was mentioned on Twitter by SBTTraining: Comprehensive list of Social Media Links – tips, tools, apps and guides http://bit.ly/7Kt7r5 #social #media…

Jason Ford says:

This is a great reference – very comprehensive!

I’ve got one app that you should add though – FeedMagnet – it should be on the list of Social Tools and Apps. FeedMagnet helps companies harness social media by aggregating everything they are saying or things their customers are saying about them, and then making the unified feed available for marketing purposes. Kind of like FriendFeed, but for business. Live updates for conferences and events. Real-time filtered and moderated customer endorsements for your company/products. And it works across more than just Twitter: Flickr, Delicious, Google News, YouTube, Twitpic, yFrog, and other sources as well.

JuiceeLinks Link Building Goodness says:

Love the list.

Here’s a great article to add to the discussion:

http://www.searchenginejournal.com/building-social-bookmarking-networks-101/16154/

Discusses basic tips for any social media you are working with.

Randy Hamilton says:

Great list!

I have one to add — beRelevant – should be on the list of Social Tools and Apps. beRelevant is a virtual customer collaboration platform that takes companies beyond social monitoring by gathering and prioritizing insights that drive customer-inspired decisions. Using beRelevant, companies are able to discover ranked priorities in the very words of their own customers. beRelevant helps drive more relevant decisions, products, and marketing mix. As well beRelevant activates demonstrated listening and positive word of mouth for increased customer acquisition and retention. The engagement is enhanced with rich media and works across Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and email.

I’m still confused, what is the best program to control, facebook, twitter, linkedin and Plaxo? Or is there one?

Colin Welch says:

Hi Sunny,

There are a couple of tools that you can use to update multiple social networks at once.

These are http://ping.fm/ and http://amplify.com/

I’ve added them both to the top of the Social Tools and Apps section.
