What is the M_o_R® Foundation & Practitioner Training Course?

The M_o_R® (Management of Risk) Foundation course, is one of five M_o_R® training courses.The five-day M_o_R® Practitioner Conversion course combines both the M_o_R® Foundation and M_o_R® Practitioner courses to provide you with a complete understanding of M_o_R®. M_o_R® considers risk in 4 key areas of business:

  • Strategic
  • Programme
  • Project
  • Operational

The M_o_R® Practitioner Conversion course links well with other disciplines like project and programme management while maintaining its own unique methodologies and terminologies.

M_o_R® Foundation & Practitioner Course Objectives

The key objectives of this course are:

  • To provide Delegates with an understanding of the benefits and principles underlying a structured approach to the assessment and management of risks
  • To apply the principles of M_o_R® within a work environment
  • To communicate effectively with colleagues and managers within a structured risk environment

The first three days are spent training for the M_o_R® Foundation exam and the last two days will be spent preparing for the Practitioner exam.

Who is the M_o_R® Foundation & Practitioner Course for?

This M_o_R® Foundation & Practitioner certification is aimed at any individual who works within a corporate governance environment and is responsible for identifying, monitoring and managing risks, or reporting risk management affairs within their organisation. Alternatively, anybody who is interested in the field of risk management is welcome to attend.

M_o_R® Foundation & Practitioner Exam Information

This course includes 2 exams; the M_o_R® Foundation Exam and the M_o_R® Practitioner Exam. The M_o_R® Foundation exam is taken on the third day while the M_o_R® Practitioner exam will be taken on the fifth and final day of the course.

The Foundation exam:

  • 75 multiple choice questions
  • 5 questions are trials and are not counted towards the final score
  • 1 hour in duration
  • Closed book
  • 50% required to pass

The Practitioner exam:

  • Objective testing. This is a type of multiple choice
  • 4 questions, each worth 20 marks
  • 3 hours in duration
  • Open book
  • 50% required to pass
