Win a 2-day Photoshop Workshop in Brighton worth over £500 by entering your top summer themed photo to our Facebook Summer Photography Competition.

As we’ve only had one week of summer this year, we thought it would be a great time to ask you all to show off your best summer photos! Interpret the theme as you like, enter your summer holiday snaps or show off just how wet it’s been in the UK!

Summer Photography Competition

We’ve purposely chosen a broad ‘Summer’ theme for this competition so that you can get creative. We don’t just want pictures of ice cream on the beach (although those are welcome!) we want you to show off what summer means to you in a photo.

Think back to your childhood, think back to a time when summer meant sunshine and not flooding, think of exotic summer holidays and British staycations: whatever springs to mind when you think of summer.

To enter, you simply have to visit the Silicon Beach Training Facebook Page and click on ‘Photo Competition’ or go straight to the Entry Form! Remember that you must like our page before you can enter.

The winner is the photo with the most votes on our Facebook competition, but there will also be some honourable mentions for our favourite entries. We will be on the look out for anyone who tries to trick the system with fake votes so don’t try anything sneaky!

The competition ends on the 27th October but we recommend you get your entry in early to maximise the number of votes. We’ll be promoting the competition but we recommend you do some promotion yourself! If you need any help with social media our Ultimate Guide to Social Media will give you some ideas to start, but our 2-day Social Media workshop is also ideal for photographers who want to increase their presence and build a fanbase.

Summer Photo Comp Prize

The photographer who gains the most votes on their photo by the 27th October will win a place on one of our public Photoshop Courses in Brighton. For complete beginners there’s our Introduction to Photoshop course or for current users we run an Advanced Photoshop course. Both workshops run over 2 days and normally cost £445 + vat.

If you’re already a Photoshop pro then you could also swap your prize for a place on a public InDesign or Illustrator workshop – both complement Photoshop and give you another design tool at your disposal.

The courses run in Brighton and all travel and accommodation must be paid for by the winner. Please keep this in mind when entering.

How to Enter our Summer Photography Competition

It’s really easy to enter the Summer Photography Competition, just follow these steps:

1. Visit and like our Facebook Page
2. Click on the Photo Competition App
3. Upload your photo to the App
4. Sit back and wait for the votes to start rolling in!

Summer Photo Competition Rules

1. Entries are limited to one per person.
2. You may only enter your own photographs.
3. ‘Spam’ voting is not allowed. If we see anything that doesn’t look natural we will remove the entry. That includes posting the competition to ‘vote for me’ websites.
4. We ask for your email so that we can contact the winner. We will never share your information with any 3rd parties.
5. The prize includes the face cost of the training. Travel and accommodation must be arranged and paid for in full by the winner.
6. If the winner is unable to attend a public course in Brighton, the prize will go to 2nd place.

1. Entrants retain full copyright of submitted material.
2. Silicon Beach Training can not be held responsible for the use of images entered into the competition.
3. The top 5 entries will be published in a blog post and video celebrating the winners with full attribution given.
