Well Google are at it again, whetting our appetite whilst keeping us guessing as to what is in store. We know that Google Slam is happening today, but for such an enormous organisation I take my hat off to them to keeping it a secret. To be the first to find out go to Google Slam and wait! So far the only info you get is this:

“Welcome to Demo Slam. Where a little creativity takes tech demos from mundane to mind-blowing. All thanks to people like you. So come watch, choose your favorites and most importantly, show the world what you can do. This Wednesday the Slamming Preseason begins.”

What is Google Slam?

Even Google doesn’t seem to know what it is!!!!

Well no doubt we’ll be talking about it later so watch this space, but my prediction: Some kind of online screen capture application that will record your screen activity so that you can show the world your skills.

Update: Google Slam is now live

I’m very disappointed it’s just a competition to see who can upload the best google promo video! You need to upload it in the next week to become a part of next weeks slam where videos will be pitched against each other in order to find a winner.

The overall idea is to have people submit their demos to this Demo Slam site, and each week a “Champ” will be chosen as voted on by the viewers. Every week this process will repeat itself. In other words, it sounds like they want this to be the American Idol for Google promos.
