User Centred Systems Development training uk - course outline
This User Centred Systems Development training course uses techniques
developed from SSADM 4+ to specify how users work relates to the
new IT system. Delegates will learn how to analyse different types
of users and relate these to the appropriate interfaces to the IT
system that they will need.
Using task models delegates will identify the boundary between
manual and computer performed tasks that lead to the design of job
and work in the new system. Practical examples and case study exercises
enable delegates to apply the theory.

At the end of this course, delegates will be able to:
- Act as effective members of a team analysing and designing Information
Systems which reflect the way users wish to work to support their
business
- Perform user analysis and establish usability criteria which can
be used to measure the success of the new system
- Model tasks and use these models as the basis for prototyping
and subsequent user interface design
- They will have demonstrated a good understanding of User Analysis,
Work Practice Modelling, Task Modelling and Job design
