Diploma in Bisiness Analysis - course outline

The Diploma in Business Analysis aims to develop professional Business Analysts whos objective is to add value and decrease risk in organisations using technology-based solutions. Analists must first understand the business requirements and use this information to specify technical solutions. The business anlylist therefore has two major roles - that of the the analyst that understands business needs and that of the IT specialist offering technological solutions.

The Diploma in Business Analysis aims to develop Business Analysts who can analyse business requirements and develop thier own solutions rather than teaching generic or 'catch all' solutions. It is about being aware of the tools and techniques available and haivng an understanding of different project and software lifecycles. Although the diploma does not offer a ridgid methodolgy for analysis the techniques taught on the Business Analysis Diploma are industry standard such as the Unified Modelling Language and Business Process Modeling Language.

Business Anlaysis Training Course Prerequisites

Successful past candidates have been drawn from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences. While any strongly motivated delegate may be admitted to the Diploma, we strongly recommend that prospective delegates should not do the course, unless they:

• experience in a role that requires the use of decision-making or problem solving
• are computer literate and can use basic programmes such as microsoft office (no programming experience is neccesary)
