Software Package Selection training - ISEB accredited

This is an innovative Software Package Selection training course presented in two distinct phases. The first two days (phase one) are concerned with developing a framework for package selection and identifying the requirements of a particular case study problem. The participants are then presented with a potential packaged solution and are asked to evaluate this using the framework developed in the course. They undertake this work on day three of the course.

Software Package Selection Training Course Objectives:-

At the end of this Software Package Selection training course participants will be able to:

  • Define a framework for effective software package selection
  • Produce a high level UML class model
  • Produce appropriate use case definitions of functional requirements
  • Develop a checklist of non-functional requirements
  • Identify and investigate and assess potential suppliers
  • Evaluate a software package solution against defined requirements
  • Present recommendations about the fit of the software package to agreed functional and non-functional requirements
