This two-day Balanced Scorecard training course covers the structure, process and challenges of building, implementing and using a Balanced Business Scorecard to improve performance and to put strategy at the centre of key management processes and systems including incentive schemes and resource/budget planning activities.
Business processes are the production lines of the new economy. When they fail us, our products and services fail our customers, and our business fails its stakeholders. The more organisations change, the more they must concern themselves with their stakeholder relationships, and the design and management of their processes so that organisations, people and technologies have a common business purpose.
This intensive two-day Business Process Management training course focuses on the essential skills business people require to analyse and redesign their processes.
This intensive three-day Business Process & Change Management training course focuses on the essential skills business people require to analyse and improve or redesign their processes and manage the people change process.
- Develop a business process strategy to meet stakeholder needs.
- Analyse, improve, design and develop processes to meet stakeholder needs.
- Align technology, organisation, and facilities with the business process strategy and design.
- Apply their knowledge to manage process projects effectively.
- Identify, clarify and manage business benefits arising from process change.
- Discuss the fundamental challenges in getting people to change and for that change to be sustained.
- Understand and be able to apply the key steps required to successfully manage people change.
- Establish appropriate governance structures for process and people change.
The natural tendency of many individuals and organisations when presented with a problem is to jump to a solution, any solution. They do not systematically analyse the problem to determine a root cause before considering potential solutions. This Root Cause Analysis training provides an introduction to analysing the root cause of a problem starting with a clear definition of the problem. The course will then cover logical and root cause analysis tools that can be applied to identify potential root causes which then needs to verified. Finally, the course considers how the root cause analysis process should be managed.
Upon completion of this one day introduction course delegates will:
- Understand a structured approach to defining and analysing the root cause of problems.
- Understand a range of logical and root cause analysis tools to develop an understanding of the problem and identify a root cause.
- Understand the importance and approaches to verifying a root cause.
Six Sigma Training Courses
At the heart of Six Sigma improvement and redesign activities are project teams. These teams will consist of people who want to use their knowledge and skills to improve the performance of processes and the business. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training is focused on team members understanding and applying the Define Measure Analyse Improve and Control model which is the foundation of all Six Sigma projects. The focus of Six Sigma is fundamentally about quality, customer focus and cost, where as Lean is about cost and speed. This course blends a number of Lean concepts and tools into the Six Sigma DMAIC model.
The team leaders and team members are the brains and muscle behind the Lean Six Sigma programme it is critical that they are equipped with the appropriate skills and tools to enable them to deliver current and future improvements.
Leaders and managers of organisations are continually challenged by both the need for success now, and to then sustain that success into the future. There is a constant stream of "new ideas" of how to get and stay at the top. Six Sigma maybe considered as one of these "new ideas" but looking closely will show a significant difference. Six Sigma is a comprehensive and flexible system for achieving, sustaining and maximising business success. Six Sigma is uniquely driven by a close understanding of customer needs, disciplined use of facts, data and statistical analysis, and diligent attention to managing, improving and reinventing business processes.
Upon completion of the Introduction to Lean Six Sigma training course students will understand:
- The fundamental concepts of Lean and Six Sigma
- The key steps of the Six Sigma Roadmap, how it can be adapted for their organisation and the organisational implications
- The key elements of the Define Measure Analyse Improve and Control (DMAIC) improvement model
- How to apply Lean Six Sigma to improve their organisations performance.
The area that sets a Six Sigma initiative apart from all the other initiatives is the use of comprehensive statistical tools and analysis techniques. In the past these tools and techniques have not been widely available for general use because of their specialist requirements.
A major step forward has been the development of a software programme that brings these tools and techniques within the grasp of a far wider audience. This software package is Minitab, which has become the industry norm for Six Sigma activities.
This Introduction to Minitab training course is designed to introduce Six Sigma practitioners to this software.
At the end of this two day Introduction to Minitab training course delegates will understand and be able to:
- Use the software to produce statistical analysis from data.
- Use a number of statistically based measurement approaches and tools to establish current performance.
- Determine the most appropriate tool for the data and the area of analysis.
- Apply the statistical analysis to projects within their responsibility.
- Interpret the results from the Minitab outputs
Projects are at the heart of a Six Sigma programme. The projects maybe led by a Green Belt or Black Belt but the bulk of the investigations, measurements and solution development will be undertaken by the team members. The aim of this two day Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt training course is to improve the understanding and awareness of the team members. Yellow Belts will become effective team members faster which will result in improved performance and reduced timescales for your Six Sigma projects.
This intensive two day Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt training course will enable delegates to understand:
- The principles of quality improvement.
- The DMAIC improvement model and the key activities required at each stage.
- The importance of determining and understanding customer requirements.
- Basics of measuring and analysing performance.
- Identification and evaluation of potential solutions.
- Establishing ongoing process control and improvement.
Lean Six Sigma at its most effective is a Management System and philosophy that permeates all aspects of an organisation. It is much more than a set of metric-based problem solving and process improvement tools. Executives and Lean Six Sigma project Champions play a critical role in establishing and maintaining a Lean Six Sigma Management System to ensure delivery of sustainable breakthrough results.
Executives and Champions need to understand the key concepts and methods of Lean Six Sigma. Equally importantly they need to understand their critical role in aligning, mobilising and managing all elements of the organisation to implement a Six Sigma Management System. It is when Lean Six Sigma is implemented as a Management System that organisations see the see the greatest impact.
It is essential in any organisation to develop a mass of well qualified Black Belts which is critical to any successful Six Sigma initiative. They are the people that create value by leading successful projects, and demonstrating the tools and techniques of Six Sigma to others.
In most organisations there is recognition that employees who are trained Green Belts are capable of moving up to Black Belt level. It is important that this opportunity be available without having to complete the full Black Belt course.
This Six Sigma Black Belt Conversion training course has been designed to incorporate those elements from the Black Belt course that are different to the Green Belt course.
Whilst the topics covered are similar to those at Green Belt level, they are covered in the additional depth required to achieve Black Belt level.
At the heart of Six Sigma the improvement and redesign activities are project teams. These teams will consist of people who want to use their knowledge and skills to improve the performance of processes and the business. Six Sigma Green Belt training is focused on team members understanding and applying the Define Measure Analyse Improve and Control model which is the foundation of all Six Sigma projects. Delegates will have a choice of working on manufacturing or service based case studies throughout the five day training programme.
The team leaders and team members are the brains and muscle behind the Six Sigma training programme it is critical that they are equipped with the appropriate skills and tools to enable them to deliver current and future improvements.
This Six Sigma Change Management training course focuses on making the case for change, assessing the impact on the organisation, and developing change and communication strategies and plans to ensure the change course objectives are met.
This 2 day Six Sigma Change Management training course follows on from the 3 day Six Sigma Strategy training course.
Six Sigma is a management philosophy so it is appropriate that the training should start with management. This 3 day Six Sigma Strategy training course is the first critical element in a strategic deployment of Six Sigma.
It is split into two parts, during the first two days the various elements of the strategy are developed. The management team then spends 4 to 6 weeks verifying their assumptions and collect data on actual process performance. The final day reviews the performance data, verifies the strategy and chooses the initial Six Sigma projects and champions.
This Six Sigma team training course is focused on understanding and applying the Define Measure Analyse Improve and Control model which is the foundation of all Six Sigma projects.
Rather than deliver 10 days of mind numbing training upfront and leave the team to struggle in applying it to their projects a different approach is recommended. Our approach is to use training workshops that are a mixture of theory, work on generic exercises and work on organisation specific projects.
The result is that the organisation has trained a group of people and delivered up to 3 Six Sigma projects over the course of approximately six months.
Combination Project Management & MS Project training
