It is essential in any organisation to develop a mass of well
qualified Black Belts which is critical to any successful Six Sigma
initiative. They are the people that create value by leading successful
projects, and demonstrating the tools and techniques of Six Sigma
to others.
In most organisations there is recognition that employees who are
trained Green Belts are capable of moving up to Black Belt level. It
is important that this opportunity be available without having to complete
the full Black Belt training course.
This Six Sigma Black Belt training course has been designed
to incorporate those elements from the Black Belt course that are different
to the Green Belt course. Whilst the topics covered are similar to those at Green Belt level,
they are covered in the additional depth required to achieve Black
Belt level.
Six Sigma Black Belt Training Course objectives
At the end of this intensive two four day six sigma blackbelt training programmes delegates will
understand and be able to:
- Understand the difference in responsibilities between a Green
Belt and a Black Belt.
- Apply the principles of the Six Sigma DMAIC performance improvement
model.
- Use a number of enhanced measurement approaches and tools to
establish current performance.
- Use appropriately a number of basic analysis tools and techniques
to establish the root cause of a problem.
- Apply the statistical techniques at a Black Belt level to projects
within their responsibility.
- Understand key lean concepts and tools, when and how to apply
them to drive improvements
- Recognise the difference in approach and techniques for incremental
and redesign improvement strategies and know how to decide on the
correct approach.
- Establish ongoing process controls and process governance structures.
