VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) is closely related to Visual Basic, but instead is used to run code within a host application such as Microsoft Word, Excel or Access. Our public VBA for Microsoft Excel and Private VBA for Access courses aim to give delegates a good understanding of the VBA basics that could be applied to other Microsoft software in the future. VBA is the industry standard for creating Macros and running code within Microsoft Office and offers a full and flexible functionality

VBA for Excel Training Course

This intensive VBA for Excel Course runs for two days and is structured to provide delegates with a comprehensive knowledge of the VBA basics from creating and editing Macros, to getting to grips with the VBA code. These skills will be gained in an interactive workshop, with use of many Excel functions. This VBA course also makes a good starting point for those who wish to use VBA for another application such as Word.

Although no programming knowledge is required to attend this VBA Training course, a thorough working knowledge of Excel is essential. Delegates only familiar with the Excel basics should consider Advanced Excel Training first.

VBA for Access Training Course

This intensive VBA for Access training is designed for those experienced with Access, and can run for either one or two days depending on your knowledge. The course will include adding, running and reusing code within Access, using variables, debugging and using reports and report events.

To attend this VBA course you must be experience with Access’s advanced functions; see our Advanced Access Training course. Experience with Macros and Events within Access or another programming language would also be of benefit. Once you have gained an understanding of VBA, you may also be interested in our Access API Training, which harnesses Windows’ API (Application Programing Interface), in order to access much advanced code outside of Visual Basic.
