ISEB Software Test Management Training

Software Test Management will increase delegates awareness and skills in managing the test effort.

This Software Test Management course includes creating a test policy, a test strategy, a project test plan, and a phase test plan. Delegates explore what is required to produce documents which are effective in communicating key points, such as risks outstanding, test estimates (time and resources), and the impact of poor quality requirements or software. Attention is also given to how test progress can be reported, and how to use executive summaries in order to deliver key messages to relevant stakeholders.

Software Test Management Coaching & Revision Day

The fourth day of this course is an exam coaching & revision day, this includes is reminder of the ISEB Practitioner Test Management syllabus.

The coaching & revision day has the following objectives:

  • Become proficient in the risk management activities of risk identification, risk analysis and risk mitigation
  • Understand the important content of test management documentation
  • Learn how to use the common test estimation techniques
  • Understand the importance of test monitoring and control and how to report on progress
  • Understand the essential components of incident management
  • Learn how to select appropriate types of testing, test technique and method of determining coverage
  • Learn how to select and implement appropriate test tools
  • Understand the different test team organisations and scenarios for stakeholder motivation
  • Learn everything you need to know to pass the examination

The examination is taken the day after this exam coaching session.

ISEB Qualifications

This course prepares participants to sit the two-hour, closed book, essay-based examination leading to the Practitioner Certificate in Software Test Management, offered by the Information Systems Examinations Board (ISEB).
