Realising the Benefits

The programme activities, work streams and projects will deliver new capabilities, services or business operations. The purpose of this process is to track the benefits from their initial identification to their successful realization.  This process also involves planning and managing the transition between old and new ways of working while ensuring that “business as usual” is maintained. The activities of this process are repeated as necessary for each tranche of the programme. There are three distinct sets of activities covered by realizing the benefits:

  • Manage pre-transition – analysis, preparation and planning for business transformation
  • Manage transition – delivering and supporting the changes
  • Manage post-transition – reviewing progress, measuring performance and adapting to change
