6 Useful Twitter Tools – sort out your followers
So you have your Twitter account, you can see who you are following, you can see who follows you and you can see which of those you are following are following you.
Great, but now you want to know:
- which people you are following are not following you
- who has recently stopped following you
- what are your contacts tweeting about
- who is a useless twitterer!
Those interested in building up their online presence using Social Media may be interested in our one day Social Media Training course (our one day SEO Training course is also an invaluable complement). There are loads of Twitter applications out there that can answer these questions for you here are just a few:
- Twitterless: If you sign up for Twitterless it alerts you via email if any of your followers decide to unfollow you. they also graph your follower history over time this can be quite interesting.
- My Tweeple: My Tweeple lists your follower and those you follow with thier bio snippet attached, this is really usefull if you want to contact them outside of twitter as their website or linkedin account is usually listed.
- FriendOrFollow: Who are you following that’s not following you back? Who’s following you that you’re not following back? A very consise and visual tool.
- Twinfluence – Twinfluence measures the influence of Twitter users. This can help you figure out who you want to follow.
- Tweetcloud – When deciding whether you want to follow a Twitter user – what sort of content they tweet about is a big deciding factor . Tweetcloud creates a tag cloud of a person’s tweets to give you an all round view of the type of things they tweet about.
- MyCleenr is a unique way to sort your friends by their last tweets. It allows you to get rid off all the inactive and useless accounts that you are following!
