Twitter embedded quotes “Blackbird Pie” is not a Twitter feature as such (although most bloggers and Social Media writers seen to think it is.) It is just a little hack written by Robin Sloan of Twitter Media. It is, however a really useful tool tool that will enables users to copy and paste a snippet of code to embed a tweet as a quote on their online post or webpage, just like they would insert a YouTube video. Until now most bloggers have taken screenshots of tweets to use them as quotes see this post called get with it Gordon Brown written some time ago but quite apt today!
Robin Sloan says: “We have a simple alternative [to screenshots] to propose. Users will be able to add a code snippet to display what Twitter calls simple, selectable flat-HTML tweets. This feature should be hugely popular among bloggers looking to curate tweets for context in stories they write.
