MySpace used to be the dominant force and was top of the social networks, but in the past few years they have slipped behind and now Facebook has taken MySpace’s crown. MySpace’s reaction to this is; if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.
Silicon Beach Training offer great Social Media Training and Blogging Training. If you want to try something a bit different then come along to our Assertiveness Training or ITIL Training in Brighton, Sussex.
You can now go to MySpace and sign in with your Facebook account, allowing for interaction between both sites. You personal details, likes and interests are all imported over to your new MySpace page, from that information MySpace then recommends further pages you may enjoy. Any bands, videos or celebrity news that you recommend on MySpace, will now appear on your Facebook wall.
MySpace and Facebook status updates will be synced to both pages and Facebook’s ‘Like’ button will be introduced to MySpace in the next month or so.
MySpace had a major redesign in October and tried to move away from being a Social Network powerhouse to focus more on music, videos and celebrity news.
Try the New MySpace/ Facebook Mashup
If you want to try the new MySpace/ Facebook mashup then follow these simple steps –
Go to myspace.com and click Connect with Facebook button

A pop-up will appear asking you to sign in, or if you’re already sign in to Facebook, simply click Allow

MySpace will pull your details and information from Facebook then offer you potential interests in Celebrities, Movies, Music Artists and TV Shows. You can pick a selection from these and then click Go Now.

You will then be guided through a few steps to enter your password, add photos, add basic information and then find and connect with friends.
Once that is all filled in you will be presented with your new MySpace page.

A summary of ITIL is provided below:

The ITIL Service Management methodology has now been in place since 2007, and is well established as the industry standard qualification framework for IT Service Management.
The Office of Government Commerce (OGC) who are responsible for ITIL recently conducted a survey, and found that less than 8% of the 1300 responses they received felt that there was a need for the old ITIL V2 qualification framework to be continued beyond the next 2 years.
They have therefore taken the decision to withdraw all ITIL V2 qualifications and publications by the end of 2010, being completely replaced by ITIL V3.
Update – ITIL no longer describe their publications with a version number, such as v3, but instead simply as ITIL. Different editions will be distinguished by year, e.g. ‘ITIL 2011′. For more about this update, see ITIL website FAQs. ITIL courses at Silicon Beach Training will always cover the latest release.
Silicon Beach Training provide regular public ITIL Training courses in Brighton.
The ITIL V2 withdrawal will occur in stages, and the timetable for withdrawal is as follows:

An interesting story we found on BBC News…
A PRINCE2 and ITIL qualified Project Manager from Reading who was recently made redundant has come up with an innovative way of putting himself in front of potential employers.
Gordon Wildflynn was made redundant in June, and when traditional methods of job-hunting failed he took matters in to his own hands and placed estate-agent style placards by the roads near to hi-tech employers in the area.
