Is someone following me on Twitter?
An easy peasy way to find out if someone is following you back on Twitter…
There are loads of great Twitter apps, many of which we’ve featured in our extensive Twitter tools for marketers resource. But the simplest way to find out if one individual is following you on Twitter is to use doesfollow. I felt this tool needed a little promotion as it’s very handy, but features nowhere on Google search results for terms like “is someone following me back on Twitter”!

Using doesfollow is easy – just fill in two fields for a “Yup” or a “Nope” response – you can check if you’re following someone too.
If you want a tool to show everyone who doesn’t following you on Twitter then try Friend or Follow.

You can of course find this out directly from your followers list in your Twitter account. If ‘Direct Message’ is not an option in the ‘actions’ drop down menu. They are not following you.

Thanks Peter – good point. Although platforms like TweetDeck have yet to introduce this feature (you don’t find out someone’s not following you until you’ve typed and tried to send a DM). Plus, Twitter is prone to crashing sometimes, so doesfollow could come in handy then!
