If you aren’t regularly communicating with your subscribers, it’s not a great way to build brand, trust, relationship, familiarity – it means that when you do send something it’s less likely to be read.
People forget they subscribed, people are more likely to view you with suspicion, people could feel slighted.
Some might call it letting your list go ‘cold‘ – I call it a big mistake. This applies to newsletters, blogs, RSS feeds and social media, such as your Twitter account as well.

Social Media is not a fad, but a fundamental shift in how we do business. ‘It’s the economy stupid’ says James Carville in 1992…’It’s a People Driven economy stupid’ says Erik Qualman, who coined the terminology ‘World of Socialnomics’ in 2009.
But don’t take my word for it. Check out his very exciting and informative video on YouTube entitled ‘Socialnomics’ – and I think you’ll start to see the woods for the trees…or something like that my Grandma once told me.
The numbers simply don’t lie and they paint a relevant and very realistic picture of what the growing online audience wants when it comes to their consumer habits, reviewing and talking about products, and how they basically get their information day to day.
If you are a solo business owner, artist or even if a multi-national conglomerate – you simply cannot ignore integrating social media into your marketing efforts. Rather, I should even go so far as to say, having social media drive your entire marketing and advertising strategy. It’s simply too large of a shift in industry to ignore. Your business and livelihood depends on it.
Got your attention? Good.
